Fire Examiners Life Safety Solutions is an independent third-party firestop special inspection firm. We help project teams verify through-penetrations and fire-resistant joints against listed systems and project documents—and we document that work for AHJs, owners, and insurers. We inspect. We do not install.
We’re growing carefully across our offices in St. Petersburg, Florida; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and St. Paul, Minnesota. If you care about clear field work, usable reports, and independence from the installing contractor, we’d like to hear from you.

We look for people who take pride in accurate documentation, professional jobsite presence, and steady coordination with GCs, design teams, and trades. Experience in firestop, life safety, construction inspection, or related building-code work is valued—curiosity and integrity matter just as much.
What the work looks like
Depending on the role and project, team members may:
- Perform or support independent firestop special inspection in the field
- Review submittals, listings, and shop drawings before installation
- Document findings clearly for project teams and authorities having jurisdiction
- Help projects move from open items toward closeout with process—not blame
- Coordinate across multi-state projects from our Florida, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota footprint
